Has anyone taken the above tablets. I have been prescribed these today for 3 months following my positive TB rest result. There are lots of side effects according to the leaflet so I would be interested to hear from anyone who has taken them. If I dont take them, then i cannot have the anti tnf drugs, so I dont have a choice.

Hi Val,

I was prescribed these when my TB test was positive before starting humira.
I didn't want to take them either, the list of side effects is horrendous, never mind taking it along with all the other drugs we take.
I was lucky because my rheumy nurse decided I could reduce the dose to just one tablet a day, seeing as I didn't actually have TB, it was just that the test showed positive.
With just one tablet a day ,I didn't have any side effects from it at all, apart from hating having to take them!
I don't know if your rheumy nurse will be as lenient.... no harm in asking though.

I am on the 4th week of taking this horrid drug. I got horrid itching last week and I am now taking an anti histamine to stop it. I am still taking the full dose as they said that in the event that I did have the TB bug it is very hard to get rid of. I have been told that I can start anti tnf after 6 weeks.
